Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 Base + £7620 Flexi Cash Bens + 30 days holiday + 10% non-con pension (with additional 7.5% matched)
Responsibilities
My client, a reputable boutique Core Banking organisation, is looking to hire a Vendor Manager to work closely with senior level business stakeholders and Procurement and provide oversight of operational partnership and oversight of the firm’s key suppliers, across multiple business functions.
In this role, you will partner closely with internal Business Heads, governance boards and vendor suppliers themselves, with the ultimate aim of standardising vendor processes across the business. You will be responsible for hands-on execution of standards, controls, policies, procedures and performance metrics, alongside providing valuable strategic insight as to how best optimise the bank’s vendor strategy and procurement policies. The role will cover multiple business lines – IT, HR, Marketing, Finance etc.
Desired Skills:
- Proven track record as a Vendor Manager ideally gained within the Financial Services sector
- Previous experience working in boutique/smaller Financial Services firms
- Strong understanding of Vendor regulations and Risk Management in the Vendor/Procurement space
- Hand-on experience, including developing templates and performance management tools
- Proven ability to provide guidance to senior internal stakeholders in regard to Vendor Strategy covering standards, policies, controls and performance metrics
- Detailed experience of partnering with vendor suppliers to ensure cost, quality and delivery targets are met
- Previous experience of helping to standardise the vendor management approach across multiple business functions
- Experience preferred across different business functions – IT, HR, Marketing, Finance etc
