Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, Engineering Background (Hardware, Imaging, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering), Electronics Products
Hybrid Role: Preference is on-site, however hybrid 3 to 4 days a week minimum is also possible in the Cambridge area
My client, a dynamic firm working on a range of cutting-edge projects, is looking to hire an accomplished Product Manager to join a dynamic group that is building and enhancing best-in-class Electronics products that are essential for the UK Defence industry.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will take responsibility for the full product lifecycle for cutting edge Electronics and Imaging product management. This will encompass: defining and managing product roadmaps, facing off directly to customers to gather and prioritise requirements, translating technical capabilities into clear product propositions and delivering these to the engineering teams. You will create detailed product requirements and specs, maintain clear communication between technical and commercial teams and support Sales teams with customer demos where necessary. You will also be involved with Product marketing, delivering technical info to the Marketing division so that they can produce marketing material and put together appropriate pricing models for individual products.

Desired Skills:
· Proven track record as a Product Manager with an Engineering background (Technology Hardware, Products, Electronics, Imaging, Mechanical Engineering or similar)
· Solid understanding of Product development lifecycles and Engineering processes
· End to end Product Management skills – from customer requirements through to product delivery
· Highly technically competent, comfortable discussing features, architecture and specs with both technical and non-technical teams
· Exceptional communication and presentation skills – customer-facing background and able to run demos where required
· Ability to work in a smaller to medium sized organisation where you are highly visible and have to wear multiple hats in highly dynamic environments
· Ability to travel (once every 6 weeks or so) and be the face of the firm at their Europe based shows – you MUST hold the correct visa status in the UK to do this
