Hybrid/On Site Role: 4 to 5 days on site in the Cambridge area office
Salary: between £50,000 and £60,000 Base + Benefits + Bonus dependent on seniority and background
Overview:
My client, a key player in the Defence industry, is looking to hire a Python Developer to work alongside the organisation’s FPGA team. This is a tremendous opportunity to both utilise your strong Python skills and gain extensive exposure to FPGA technology and electronics.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for using the Python framework to regression test a library of FPGA blocks that perform image processing. You will use your Python coding skills, working closely with the FPGA design team, hardware, software and mechanical engineers to bring new best in class Defence products to market.
Desired Skills:
· Solid background in Python coding and development
· Skilled at writing unit tests and test suites
· Solid exposure to code profiling and CI/CD workflows
· Linux and Bash skills
· Code documentation expertise across inline comments, docstrings and markdown files
· An interest in Defence, Defence Products and FPGA is highly regarded
· Team player- strong communication skills and ability to work alongside Engineers at all levels to product great results
